My Grandfather's Extension Rule

My maternal grandfather was a carpenter. I didn't know him as one; I just knew him as "Pa." He was always happy to see any of his family. I have very fond memories of him; I knew him to be intuitive, caring, warm, hard working, and especially creative - I liked to be around him and my grandmother, and would go visit them as often as possible.

My mom, aunts, and uncle went through his stuff and decided that I'd received one of his Lufkin extension rules. He probably had more than one. I'm grateful to have this one as a tribute to and a reminder of him.

His initials were "WM" for Willard May. He initialed his tools. Anyway you turn it, "WM" is shown...
